Alois Berger
thanks his employees
Berger's success is attributed to our most important resource – our people. Alois Berger, our founder, expresses his deepest gratitude and appreciation to those that contribute to the company, their faith in him as a leader, and the honest feedback they have provided him over the years.
"In the beginning, there was no capital – all we had was the strong will of our people, and that is what made Berger grow." ----Alois Berger
Up to day, the Berger group is a family organization, and we treasure each member of our staff like a part of our family.
Working in the Allgäu – one of the most beautiful vacation destinations in Germany
The Allgäu – in all its picturesque beauty
The Allgäu, with breathtaking landscapes, mountains, lakes and natural monuments make it one of the most beautiful regions in Germany. Alongside happily grazing cows, you also find old unique towns, such as Memmingen, home to our Berger headquarters. Skiing, hiking and cycling are just some of the preferred past time activities that the region offers, allowing our employees to enjoy a quality of life in balance with their professional lives. We offer our employees benefits when they enjoy Berger's hotels and restaurants.

Lake Constance and the Vierländer region
Located just 65 km from Memmingen, you will find the "Swabian Sea", otherwise known as Lake Constance. Surrounded by four countries, Lake Constance is the third biggest inland lake in Europe and is often referred to as the 'Vierländer region', or the Four Countries region. It is located south of Germany, north of Switzerland, west of Austria and in the immediate vicinity of the Principality of Liechtenstein. In the summer there are excellent conditions for sailing, windsurfing and swimming. The Lake Constance cycle path, with a length of 260 km, goes all round the lake. The large amount of water held in Lake Constance has a positive effect on the regional climate, making this area optimally suited for vineyards and fruit-growing.

Munich – the capital city of Bavaria
From Memmingen, travel 100 km east and you will find Munich, the capital city of Bavaria. Known as one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, Munich is the center of Bavarian culture, politics, science and media. Known globally for its 'Oktoberfest' celebrations, it is a top tourist destination for avid travellers around the world. Also noteworthy are the Nymphenburg Palace, the Bavarian State Opera, BMW world or the Allianz Arena – all worth a visit!
